Dr. V. Anitha has extensive experience in livelihood and socio-economic studies, institutional arrangements, and policy studies related to the bamboo sector. Undertaken projects related to economic feasibility and socio-cultural acceptability of bamboo-based architecture, assessment of bamboo resources in forests, the role of Bamboo in sustainable rural livelihood, and assessing the problems and developing strategies related to the bamboo handicraft industry, etc., Current research interests are in the economic evaluation of ecosystem services, policy studies in the context of forest rights of indigenous people and socio-economic studies of traditional industry.
